The Real Exam Pattern
| Subject | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| General Intelligence & Reasoning | 25 | 25 |
| Numerical Aptitude | 25 | 25 |
| English Language (General English) | 50 | 50 |
| General Awareness | 50 | 50 |
| Total | 150 | 150 |
The full paper is 150 questions in 120 minutes, taken as a Tablet Based Test, with 0.25 negative marking. Our practice set scales that same section ratio down to 25 questions in 30 minutes.
Look hard at the weighting. English and General Awareness are 100 of the 150 marks. Two-thirds of this paper has nothing to do with reasoning or arithmetic, and that is where most candidates put most of their preparation.
How to Get the Most From It
- Sit the full thirty minutes in one go. Matric level papers are won on speed, not difficulty. Most candidates know the answers and run out of time.
- Watch the negative marking. At 0.25 per wrong answer, four wild guesses wipe out a correct answer. Skip what you genuinely do not know.
- Read the explanations on the ones you got right too. A lucky guess is not knowledge, and the review screen is where the learning happens.
- Reload for a fresh set. The questions and the options are shuffled every time, so you cannot memorise positions.
A Tier-II Physical Standard or Skill / Trade Test applies to some Matric level posts. It is qualifying in nature only and adds nothing to your merit score.
Try the other sets too: CHSL, Andaman Police, CGL, or the Daily Quiz. All of them are on the free mock test page.
This is an original practice set written by AndamanJobs to help you prepare. It is not a reproduction of any official question paper. The section ratio follows the official A&N syllabus linked above. Spotted a mistake? Tell us and we will fix it.
