Who Is Eligible
Officers under the Central Government, State Governments or Union Territories who satisfy both conditions below:
A. Service condition — either holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department, or having five years’ regular service in the grade rendered after regular appointment to posts in Level-6 of the Pay Matrix or equivalent.
B. Qualification and experience — a Degree in Engineering from a recognised university or institute, and 02 years’ experience in the promotion and development of Small Scale Industries (SSI) or other areas of industrial development.
Two Exclusions Worth Noting
- Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion are not eligible for appointment on deputation. Equally, deputationists are not eligible for appointment by promotion.
- The period of deputation, including any deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately before this appointment in the same or another Central Government organisation, shall ordinarily not exceed 03 years.
Pay and Terms
Pay and the terms and conditions of deputation are regulated by the standard instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, vide OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt (Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010, as amended from time to time.
How to Apply for Directorate of Industries Recruitment 2026
Eligible officers submit the application in the prescribed proforma appended to the notice, through proper channel, so that it reaches by 29 October 2026. The following must accompany it:
- Last five years’ ACR dossier, attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate
- Integrity Certificate
- Cadre Clearance Certificate
- Major / Minor Penalty statement for the last 10 years, duly countersigned
The Head of Department or Office must ensure that applications of officials facing pending or contemplated disciplinary proceedings are not forwarded or recommended. Applications received after the due date, or incomplete applications, will not be entertained.
The proforma also requires a certificate from the forwarding office confirming that the information has been verified against official records, that no vigilance case or departmental enquiry is pending or contemplated, and that the organisation has no objection to relieving the officer if selected.
