Before you upload
- Portals check pixel size and file size separately. Getting the KB right but the dimensions wrong is the most common rejection.
- Use a plain light background and keep your face centred. "Fit whole image" is safer than "Fill frame" for a passport photo — nothing gets cut off.
- For a signature, sign on white paper with a black or dark blue pen and photograph it in good light before resizing.
Match the preset numbers against the upload instructions in your own notification. Specifications vary between recruiting bodies, and Custom mode covers anything not listed.
Your File Stays on Your Phone
This tool does the work inside your own browser. Your photograph is never uploaded to this website or anywhere else, nothing is stored, and nothing is sent over your mobile data. That also means it works on a weak connection — once the page has loaded, the resizing itself needs no internet at all.

Why Uploads Get Rejected
Almost always because the two requirements are treated as one. A portal checks pixel dimensions and file size separately, and an image can satisfy one while failing the other. A photo compressed to 30 KB but still 1200×1600 pixels will be refused, and so will a correctly sized 200×230 image that comes to 4 KB.
The tool sets both at once, and aims for the largest file that still fits under the maximum — which keeps you clear of the minimum at the same time.
Getting a Good Signature Image
- Sign on plain white unlined paper with a black or dark blue pen
- Photograph it with your phone camera in daylight, directly from above, with no shadow across the paper
- Crop close to the signature before resizing so the letters stay readable at 140×60
Use a camera photograph rather than a black-and-white scan. A scanned signature is so simple that it compresses to only a few KB, which lands below the 10 KB minimum — the detail in a camera photograph carries it over the line.
On the A&N Portal Itself
- Keep JavaScript enabled in your browser, or the upload step will fail.
- Print your application immediately after submitting. The portal lets you download the filled form later as well, but taking it at the time saves trouble.
- If you are registered as unemployed at the local Employment Exchange, enter your registration number in the box provided while filling the form online.
