List of Provisionally INELIGIBLE CANDIDATES for the Group ‘C’…

The Department of Environment and Forests, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, has published the list of provisionally ineligible candidates for the Group ‘C’ (Industrial) posts of Mazdoor and other Group ‘C’ non-ministerial posts (Raftman, Grader, Asst. Sawyer, Beltman, Oiler, Timber Recorder, Tallyman, Grinder) to be filled in South Andaman District.

Background

The posts were advertised in The Daily Telegram on 16 March 2026, with online applications taken from 16 March to 29 April 2026. A committee has now scrutinised the applications and prepared the lists of provisionally eligible and not-eligible candidates. They are uploaded on the official recruitment portal of the A&N Administration.

Claims or objections received after the window, or without proper documentary proof, will not be entertained.

Why Candidates Were Marked Not Eligible

The remarks column in the list gives the reason for each name. Many entries say the candidate uploaded an Aadhaar card or a driving licence as proof of age instead of a birth certificate or Xth pass certificate. One entry says payment details were uploaded in place of the age proof and the educational qualification. If your name is on the list, read your own remark and prepare the correct document before you write in.

The department states that these lists are purely provisional. Final eligibility will be decided only after the original documents are verified, and a name in the provisional list does not give any right to selection or appointment.
