Islands Prime Power Pvt. Ltd., the authorised dealer for Cummins Genset & Engines in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, is hiring an experienced Alternator Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, rewind and test alternators and related electrical components.
What the Job Involves
- Diagnosing faults in alternators, starters and charging systems
- Disassembling, inspecting and repairing or rewinding alternator components — rotors, stators, diodes, brushes and regulators
- Working on both HT and LT alternators, from 7.5 KVA to 2000 KVA
- Reassembly, load testing and performance verification
Requirements
| Qualification | ITI or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering |
| Experience | Proven hands-on experience in alternator repair and servicing; minimum 5 years preferred |
| Skills | Strong knowledge of insulation processes, load testing and troubleshooting; understanding of industrial electrical circuits |
| Location | Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands |
This is a specialist trade role rather than a general electrician post. The 7.5 KVA to 2000 KVA range covers everything from small standby sets to large industrial installations, so genuine alternator rewinding experience is what the employer is looking for.
