Eligibility
Essential:
- A degree in Ayurveda from a recognised University, Statutory State Board, Council or Faculty of Indian Medicine, or an equivalent qualification recognised under the Indian Medical Central Council Act 1970 or the NCISM Act 2020.
- Enrolment in the State Register or Central Register of Ayurveda.
Desirable: two years of Ayurveda practice in a recognised hospital or dispensary.
How to Apply
- Write the application in the prescribed format on A4 paper. The format is part of the official PDF and asks for name, father or husband name, sex, date of birth, addresses, qualifications, experience, email and identity proof.
- Attach self-attested copies of your 10th, 12th, degree, PG, diploma, provisional and internship completion certificates as applicable, your experience certificates stating the nature and period of experience, and one identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Islander Card, Local Certificate or Driving Licence).
- Put the application in a cover marked “Application for the post of MO-cum-CHO” and address it to the Office of A&N State AYUSH Society, 2nd Floor, AYUSH Hospital, Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram 744103. Email: ayushpb01@gmail.com.
- It must reach the office on or before 19.11.2026 by 4:00 PM.
Important Conditions
- Selection is purely on merit. Candidates may be shortlisted for interview on criteria approved by the competent authority.
- Applications without a photograph, or that are incomplete or defective, will be rejected. Hiding material information leads to disqualification at any stage.
- Selected candidates must be ready to work and travel in remote or hard areas and can be posted anywhere in the Islands.
- Extension of the contract depends on performance and does not promise a regular appointment.
- No individual call letters will be sent, and no TA or DA is paid for the interview.
